It wasn't a drastic difference in skin tone since Cattleya seems to be Southern European while Violet seems to be Northern European (It's even stated that she was found in the "north"). Also, just to clarify I didn't mean that as a complaint or anything, just an observation I couldn't help noticing since I adore dark skinned anime characters; they deserve all the love.
