Small world building thingue to their thick exoskeleton large mount bugs are not bothered by the sting of normal whips at all so the whips in this world are essentially ropes with heavy metal balls attached to them. Getting hit with this thing is rather unpleasant for large feral bugs but could mean a fractured shell for a more delicate insect (such as human-like bugs themselves). Can be really useful in a street brawl.
