It's Sarah Michelle Geller. I think it's amazing that you can still capture someone's likeness, even when the face is so contorted.

Hey I've been a long time lurker I really enjoy viewing your art. I first saw it on pixiv actually I didn't know you put it up on dA too.
I like this one. So is it a stock she's in? Anyways.. like a lot of your pictures what I like most is the viscreal and rawness you capture in the facial expressions. The way you can draw a female's face contorted realistically really makes the picture.
Her eyemakeup looks like it's been dried up on her face for quite some time, she must have been crying a lot. The look in her eyes... it's almost a complacent and knowing look. Maybe she's been like this for hours and has given up.
The little puddle of drool is cute too.
I noticed you mentioned something about drawing Miley with her tounge cut off.. I'd love to see something really dark like that from you. hehe. Have you art like that you just haven't posted on dA?

Thanks for the long time support Iris, I can only guess how long since you've been 'lurking' in the background, as system shows that you just added me to watch list.
Yea in this one, she's meant to be in a stock. I have been meaning to expend on the idea and visualize exactly what kind of stock it is, but it's one of those things one never get around to do. But it's going to be a cruel one, not necessarily painful, but it would be brutal in sense of introducing humiliating exposure and exhausting posture. So we are talking about firmly secured limbs trembling uncontrollably from cramping muscles with their stamina completely drained, yet still forced to maintain the ridiculous display.
You read the picture well. I love it when people do that into details. It's flattering as that makes the artist feel the piece is regarded and studied like a painting from the classical era. Indeed her eyeliner were washed down by the tears and had gone dry. If I was to write a short scenario to literate the shot, I'd give her good reasons to cry at different stages, driven to near the breaking point by various causes. Thank you for bringing these details to my attention, I am tempting to do a medium, if not wide shot to show what's excluded in this picture. But at the same time I'm not sure if that'd spoil it, because 'less is more'. I think everyone enjoys looking at this because they get to fill the blank with their imagination, rather than me spelling it out and locking it down to only one possibility.
As for Miley's ordeal, back then I really wanted to do it because it was during the days where her freaking tongue was all over the place, it's still an intriguing concept now. It would be pretty dark for sure. I'd even arrange a microphone for her to sing after the removal of what seemed to be the vital part of her performance with or without syllables involved.
I do occasionally have some stuff I hesitate or withheld from posting here, mainly because they get too graphic and (even to me) too obscene.

Hmm, how interesting. This one is all but feet. Judging by your usual choice of favourite, this is quite far outside of the comfort zone. But I'm glad it appeal to you all the same.
What do you like about it so much? Do you view her from a grinning advantage taking point of view or from a empathizing point of view?

Whor4cle In reply to RedPandaDee [2014-04-26 14:56:01 +0000 UTC]
You're right, my dear, this isn't about feet (and let me say that your feet pics are just pure perfection). Still I find this pic hot as hell, and the way you managed to grab her suffering with so few lines it's amazing.
Far outside of the comfort zone, but if you think about it, foot worshipping is almost always about submission / domination, or at least this is the way I love to think about it. I'm really not interested in "cuteness", "sweetness", funny games, tickling or whatever. I'm definitely more into submission, sadism, humiliation. I myself like to have my feet worshipped, having them cleaned with tongue, adored, all activities that, while not being "extreme", still have a well defined domination component.
To answer your question, I'm pretty much dual about it... I suppose I look at her from both point of views, maybe a little more from a dominant point of view since she's female (I tend to be more submissive with males, while I imagine to be more dominant with females).
But let me say that the pic is awesome, and I'm fascinated by it even without identification. Her mouth, her lips, the dripping saliva, the flowing make up... I would gladly lick her chin sucking all her saliva and then spit it back into her mouth if you ask me (sorry about being so explicit, it's your drawing's fault XD)

Martha, you really pampered me with your honest comment. I say this with all sincerity, that getting thoughts as such on my painting is better than getting paid money for it.
I'm totally with you on the feet appreciation perspective. There are plenty of different takes and interpretation on it, but most are rather vanilla and lacks true intensity and passion. The D/s dynamic, whether practised physically or kept a power game played only between 2 minds, needs contrast. Like the contrast and conversation between a high note and a bass tone, and what can stretch this contrast more than connecting one's tender lips and tongue, with another human being's feet.
I'm very pleased now to have asked the question, for the answer from you is so eloquent and creative. You playfully blame me for inspiring such explicit image, and now I am the victim of the picture you planted. I have such urge to write down a brief description of a scenario, or to paint a picture based on this enduring imagination.
I will have to create more pictures that get that mind of yours to work, busy as some seductively wiggling toes.

how come it all looks so... traditional(like pastel on textured cardstock)??? *___* May I ask how you achieve this look, kind Sir? Are you drawing in photoshop and is it one or a few brushes perhaps? and are you using custom settings for those brushes or were thay pre-downloaded (I fail at custom setting brushes)?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
RedPandaDee In reply to unconventionalsenshi [2013-09-30 09:28:22 +0000 UTC]
Yes and yes, I was trying to imitate the pastel on rough card effect. The texture from such combination is very rich and the colour are often very bright and pleasant; credit goes to those Pixar concept artists that painted storyboards for their animations.
The stuff used here are few brushes in photoshop that were heavily customized, with stuff like duel brush both have different textures, and dynamic rotation and so on. The thin lines are Photoshop CS6's build in pencil, which doesn't exist for previous versions. If you want to try, I can send my tool preset file to you. But you need to be on CS6 otherwise it'll refuse to load because of the pencils in there.

Thank you for explaining And wow, can tool presets be saved and imported? O.o Will that make me loose my brushes or just set the settings to your settings? Either way, I'd be very grateful U_U I sound like a photoshop noob, (and I probably am) since up to last month I've been using Photoshop 7(got it like 10 years ago and never felt the need to upgrade) and due to having a very, very old PC with slow processor and board, I've been basically using PS for some post-production of scanned goods, not the rendering of strokes itself. I do work directly with a graphic tablet , but only with programs like Manga Studio and SAI, as they make calculations possible on my computer and don't freeze on me while drawing. However, I plan on getting a whole new computer soon and will work with Ps CS6 there, so I hope to learn the program better and use it more often. Is there a way you could upload the presets to your deviantart or deviantart Sta.sh, or can I send you an e-mail via note perhaps? (I wouldn't want to trouble you with the email hussle, and who knows- many people may find your brush settings extremely useful and a breakthrough )
On a sidenote- are you using PsCS6 under Windows 7, perhaps? Have you noticed the previews for .psd file formats don't show under a regular system built-in explorer and that one has to use Adobe bridge to see what file they're actually opening? >___< that was something I found shocking and very annoying, when testing CS6 out on a laptop.

RedPandaDee In reply to unconventionalsenshi [2013-10-01 11:50:22 +0000 UTC]
I see. In that case I'll put something together. Besides the tool preset download, I'd always want to support it with illustrations of what stroke in which painting is achieved with which brush.
Photoshop (probably since it changed to CS series) has been pretty good with customization. You can practically save out files of any settings, colour swatches and to me, most importantly brush tool presets, as they often take weeks and many paintings to fine tune to the right state.
PS7 is practically ancient, I remember it from a decade ago, it's a very capable package nonetheless. Investing in a computer is always worthwhile, it'll last you a good 4-5 years with all the comfort of running the lastest software in blinking speed. I do use Windows7 as OS. The .psd file not displaying correctly sounds like a registry issue. The file type is not properly associated with one and only programme that's supposed to run it. Have you tried right click on the file and use open with, than in the list of programs, select 'photoshop' and check the box of always use this program. That may force it to recognize.
I like your work too by the way. Too often I see people outside Japan try to imitate the manga style, and the only way is to make the eyes ridiculously big while thinking that's what manga is all about. Your work has far more depth than that. Characters have beautiful proportion and pretty but not over the top features. Pink as a colour theme is a tricky zone as it can easily slip into the too sweet and mindlessly bright area; but I found your colouring to be very well balanced and pleasant to the eyes, with a tint of orange or purple from time to time, your spectrum becomes very rich and comfortable. And your handcrafted items are of course all amazing, they look so delicate and pretty while carrying the design essence of their themes.
Anyway, if there's anything I can be of help, please feel free to note me, it's never a bother.

thanks so much, you're awesomely kind I may seem like a happy-go-lucky, pink-obsessed person, but I'm quite the opposite IRL My mind is so gloomy and unstable, that I tend to choose positive and pastel colour schemes for drawings, simply because they cheer me up ^__^ A comfort zone, I guess, helping me deal with stress and anxiety built up during the day(erotic art is a good stress reliever as well ).
Anyways, the registry is fine, I mean the system recognizes the.psd files as Adobe's, and also shows a thumbnail (with blue 'PS' logo). What I don't get are the previews of images AS thumbs in systems's Explorer and while opening from under regular 'open' command in Ps. And on XP, when I was opening files I could see exactly what I'm opening U_U. Also, I've noticed that .psd's which I altered in CS6 and saved, show previews properly. Those are only the older .psd's and files transferred from external drives that display that annoying 'Ps' logo instead of the actual file preview. It's really annoing, but hopefully I will find a solution soon, as I'm lurking onto Adobe's message boards and read stuff from people experiencing similar problems Thanks again for all the help and hopefully I'll use CS6 pretty soon myself.

Fantastic as always! That look of helplessness on her face is just stunning, and her drooling and runny makeup really help get across how complete her loss of control is.
