Next up is the redesign for my Yoshi amiibo, Figment. Although... You may have noticed I've given her a new name. She was originally named after Figment, the dragon character from Disney's Journey Into Imagination. However I decided to change it in order to make her more of her own character. (There's also the potential of copyright issues, which I'd like to avoid.)

Along with the name, I made somewhat smaller changes to her design. She's still a dinosaur, but now she's more robotic. Real quick, I'm currently participating in another monthly drawing challenge called Smaugust. I'm not doing coverage on it here, but one of the drawings I made for that challenge was used as the base for the design.

I added in elements that I felt fit her character. The lightbulbs on her tail and neck area might not make sense at first. But I did my research and found that lightbulbs are a symbol of creativity. Creativity is a synonym for imagination, the biggest aspect of Fantazy's concept. So the lightbulbs were a natural fit for her. The rest was taking elements from the Smaugust drawing and Fantazy's older portrayals and tying them together in a way that fits the new Etherrealm. I'm actually very happy with this.
