But I know what you mean... I've tried the same... cause there is something what makes me cry, what I really don't like, even if I knew it cause it was in the books... And today it crashed my hopes totally...
What do you think... is it better to be spoiled and to know what will happen (if its something you are not pleased in) or to be thrown in at the deep end and get unhappy then...? :/

Definitely to be in complete unawareness, imo. I prefer to keep a story such as Sherlock in the dark - I mean, I've read the stories yes, but there STILL is a difference between the BBC and the canon, and I'd like to keep the show as much in the dark as possible...
No MATTER what!
But then again, I'm very likely to love most outcomes, as I don't have any particular wishes for the direction of the story, as long as the acting is great and the plot sensible, as well as having a few good references back to the canon.
So yeah - I prefer to stay in the dark completely.
I might have to avoid Tumblr COMPLETELY once we get nearer the release of the show.

Cause I don't care if I get spoiled or not XD Ok yes, in some cases I do care, cause it depends on the matter or of which character. E.g with Snape and the last movie. We all knew how it would ended and that he will be dead at the end but the things they changed in the films pissed me totally off. I cried soo much XDD And if I think about it to have stepped in the dark with it and would have been surprised in the cinema finally.. ohhhh... no then I would have been dead as well XDD
But yes for your own 'Safety' you really should avoid tumblr til probably december
