I really have little to add to what the suggester said. But that's not to say I have nothing.
Bad news first. I don't like the protagonist's (assuming the sword. One-sided broadswords, shaped like huge knives, look childish somehow. But that's just personal preference, you can't please everybody.
As for the monster's weaponry, I just LOVE it. The idea of ball and chain as a weapon isn't new, but not much used, and it makes it feel that more like an epic monster because there's so much chain it's basically artillery. His axe is great too: detailed, despite the fact it's not in a dominant role in the picture.
The attacker is great otherwise as well. The scars are a great detail, as well as the skulls. The angle does him well too.
I like all the armor. Especially that of the creature and the forearm portion of the man on the very left. I'm forced to say, though, it doesn't fit the rounder general look of the rest of his armor. I'd love to see a whole armor in the style of that part, though. My favourite bit of the creature's armor is the shoulderpad. Amazing details.
All the "ambient" noise is beautiful: flying gravel, bits of buildings, dust, and is that some blood just under the cloak? Really gives it a sense of movement, as the suggester says.
Is this based off of something? Would make great release art, or a desktop background.

This battle scene is amazing. I would like to leave a bigger comment about how interesting the composition and the colors are but I'm pretty sure you already know by now

WHOA! That looks amazing. I love the painting and designs of the scenery. It definitaly looks action-packed; the characters are shown clearly in a fight. Emphasis is on the person in the middle against all these hordes of creatures in armor. To sum it all up, this is a well-designed painting.
