Ahhh.. the Shmizzery's [link] X-mas present. Today was the first cloudy day in a while, so I couldn't take a pic til now. Tis sterling silver, brass, and Chinese Turquoise. Love this stone! There's no black veining, so it looks like fluffy clouds on a blue sky. It's on one of those prefabbed chains cuz I'm lazy.Related content

I'd had my eye on your locket for many months and finally faved it back in May. Among all the jewelry pieces that are in my faves, yours is my favorite among all of them and the only one I'd buy if it were available. It also fit in perfectly with my news article. As one of your Gallery Directors, I have to keep up with what's in all the Artisan Crafts galleries, so nothing about it was random, but if you prefer, I will remove it from the article.

ah. I though it got the thumbs up because it has the word turquoise, made a reference to skies and didn't involve wirewrapping. I was actually confused how you found it since its posted in metalwork and not jewelry and I can't fathom how many pages back it would be on a search if it were in jewelry. But since you faved it back in the day, THAT makes loads more sense.
And if you want it, you'll have to fight my little sister for it. It won't be easy. She might be small, but she's a scrapper. XD

The piece itself has a very antique feel to it . . . but I love the warmth that comes off of it. You love the Chinese turquoise? Have you tried white Egyptian, or Chinese picturestone? *melts*

I have a matching ring. I think it's Indian turquoise? It's all greenish and veiny. Bleh. But, it's a foot. It has four toes, though, so it's a crippled foot. Oh well. XD
