I can't help watching this picture, this must be about seventeenth time I find myself here staring at it. Still as alluring as in the first time..

Hi, It has been a while. I have not really been on DD to much lately. So it is nice to come back and read this. I am glad you like it. I just entered it into a photo contest along with the one of her sitting with her legs stretched out in front of her. It would be good if you were one of the judges as I may have a better chance of winning. I also find myself staring at this photo. She is really great to use as a model, she is a beautiful woman, and she really gives herself to the mood. Thanks very much for the comment. Peace and creativity to you.

Ok. I think it is a good choise for the competition, the other photo is awesome too but this one is my ultimate favourite by far. There's a special kind of soul in it.
Good luck for the contest, I thrust that the judges (whoever they are..) will enjoy seeing them.

Well the contest is over and they are supposed to choose the winners by the end of this month, but I have not heard anything yet. I still have a few days. Most of the ports are found ports not set up ports, which I think are much more difficult to shoot, because you have to have an idea and then exicute the idea. Found ports are also nice but it is more of a reation that planning. They also don't say as much about the photographer other than they are in the right place at the right time. Found ports actually say more about the subject than anything else. In a created port you get to see what both the photographer and subject think about the exicution of the port.

It's a pity if the emphasis of the contest was on found portraits..
I think it is a skill to live with changing situations react fast and be able to create interesting compositions quickly. But as you said, it's impossible make plans or have a full control over the moment you take the picture.
It is an other kind of skill to take planned pictures when the photo comes from your mind and you carry the responsibility of the subject.
These two skills are very different and I have heard that usually you can't master both of them well.
They shouldn't be compared..
Nothing wrong with your writing, it's clear enough for (I guess.. because I don't notice if I understand something wrong, but naturally it can be checked from the answer) me so other ppl shouldn't have any problems.

well i was sick and had some personal reasons for staying away. school takes a lot of time too, considering i will have my abitur in summer

For me this is the saddest photo I have never seen.
The first idea I got when I saw this picture was a very long journey away. She is standing in a metro tunnel.(I know now what it is, but I will always think about a metro..) The train is approaching and its light create a saint halo around her head(heaven!). She is hugging the dead toys because she doesn't want to leave alone.

this is very charming for some reason. With the light emanating from around her head (looks like rays of light and concurrent halos) and her melancholy expression she looks almost saintly. Our lady of the little fuzzy...things.

This picture is great. I love the suitcase she's holding with all the little stuffed animals. It looks like she's going on a trip and she needs them as a comfort.

nice capture! the composition is great. the position of her head in front of the arched tunnel and the light reflecting looks like her aura. somewhat contradicting too...cute little stuffed animals and brilliant light but her expression is almost sad and devoid of expression. I like it...makes me think! +fav.
