Appearance:

Fairly tall and lean, with wild brown hair and dark green eyes. In guise, his skin is a dark tan and covered in brown fur. He also tends to wear the leather and pelts taken from his kills.

Background:
Born as the second son to a Primeval tribe's chieftain, Gaul lived out his childhood and adolescence within the insular community. His status as second born would mean that he would never be chief, but Gaul compensated by proving himself against his peers and becoming one of the tribe's best hunters. During his down time, he would do some 'pup-sitting' and guard the tribe's many youngsters-- a responsibility that he tackled with just as much enthusiasm as his hunting. When he was twenty-four, the chieftain of the tribe passed, and despite the fact that his older brother would normally assume the lead position right away, many of the tribe's Vukar began to push Gaul forward as the late chief's heir. Over the years, this caused a rift within the community as the tribe split itself to support either Gaul or his brother as the new chief. Never wanting the responsibility, Gaul agonized over what to do until finally, when it looked like the other side was very close to turning on them all and turning the dispute into bloodshed, Gaul vanished without a trace. Despite the obvious danger of going off on his own, Gaul chose to leave his tribe in order to force an end to the infighting.

Some years into his travels, Gaul crossed paths with a Thresher Vukar by the name of Xandra. Even given his limited speech and intimidating appearance, the two hit it off very well and began traveling together.
