Is Halloween on still on today? I have other special MLP fanart plans for Halloween (or Nightmare Night in Equestria), I have this bad habit of slacking off or having good ideas when it is too late.

There! I did it, I did it in total of over 12 hours, two nights! So long that my eyes redden. I do everything (well, almost everything) I can do to make this drawing better than I had ever done before, with Illustrator and Photoshop, Google, and back and forth. That is all I can say how I done this drawing.
I don't know what better title I should put, I have multiple ideas but this seems meaningful.

Before I start, we all confirmed that these webbed-winged Ponies are "Bat Ponies?"

Has anyone ever wonder where the Bat Ponies went while Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon is imprisoned to the Moon? Here are my guess but I do not recommend them as legit information since everyone have their own opinions.

Beginning story.
No one knows how Bat Ponies came into being; it is unclear how any Ponies came into being as well. It is safe to say that the Bat Ponies are another race of Ponies other than the Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth Ponies. They called Bat Ponies for their Bat-Like appearances of webbed-wings, pointy teeth, elliptic eyes, fluffy ears, as well their enhanced abilities in hearing and night-vision. They are the servants of Princess Luna and served her loyally. Even after her transformation to the evil Nightmare Moon.
After Nightmare Moon was imprisoned over a thousand years ago, the Bat Ponies, those who cherish the night and loyal servants of Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon, have live separately from the common Ponies as outcasts for being servants of Nightmare Moon as well for their unusual Bat-like appearances. I cannot tell if the Bat Ponies were granted amnesty, pardon, or forgiveness for their aid to overthrow Princess Celestia and perhaps a battle(s) fought between (what I call) the Solar Army and the Lunar Army. According to the 'official' statement from Lauren Faust and Megan MacCarthy on Twitter, Bat Ponies came from caves in mountains, this states that Bat Ponies dwell in caves like real bats. Bat Ponies may have live in caves in far away places in Equestria in exile, exodus, or even as fugitives, all live in colonies. As time went on, some Bat Ponies grew tired of living in caves or roaming or flying in the same nearby forests, especially younger ones, they decided to explore outside their colonies to explore different places and meeting different Ponies other than their own kind. As for the 'normal' Ponies, they still resent the Bat Ponies as monsters, demons, and Nightmare Moon's evil servants who kidnap little fillies and colts at night as well adults and suck the blood from their victims. But newer generation already began to grew out of their fear and hate toward the Bat Ponies, maybe because they perceive them as myths since they never seen them in generations, or that they believe they are just as Pony as they are.
Eventually, few Bat Ponies meet with Ponies different from themselves (Pegasus, Unicorns, and Earth Ponies), some were even become mates and have children of their own. Tolerance for the Bat Ponies grow very slow but calm for a thousand years.

Story of the drawing.
When Nightmare Moon was free from her lunar prison on the day of the Summer Sun Celebration (Season 1, Episode 1-2: "Friendship is Magic, Part 1 and "2"), she uses some sort of telepathy or magic to communicate with the Bat Ponies (the newer generations), telling them that she have return and call them to serve her again. It is possible that Nightmare Moon can mind control on any Bat Ponies refuse to do her bidding.
After Nightmare Moon was defeated by Twilight Sparkle and her five newly friends with the Elements of Harmony and turn back into Princess Luna, the Bat Ponies' minds are freed, despite of what Princess Luna as Nightmare Moon did to them, the Bat Ponies forgives her and continue to serve her willingfully as their patroness of the night that their once ancestors served.

Artist critique.
First off, it's not much what I have in mind but I didn't have the time experiment angling since I tried to have it posted before Halloween ended. I could have use better colors. More references. More Backgrounds. And maybe more Bat Ponies.
Now perhaps done with the could-have's and have not's, onto the haves.
Anyone notice the two circles that I use for panels? If you notice, smaller circle with Nightmare Moon is in overlapping the bigger circle, forming a crescent. The panel lines or border between the Bat Pones are directly toward the center of the small circle; toward Nightmare Moon as shining beams of lights.
I put in some of the very best and most lovable Bat Ponies the fans love: Sunshine, Meadowlark, Midnight Blossom, and Echo. I don't know what Sunshine and Meadowlark's cuties marks look like and I couldn't find them so I hide their flanks. I must ask, is Sunshine and Meadowlark are brothers? Because they look alike.
You must be wondering who is that white Bat Ponies on the furthest left panel, this is Autumn Sky, I've created her. For some of you may have already saw, she is titled "Black Rose," and she had a Sword and Red Rose cutie mark until I changed it to match her name, but I still somewhat not satisfied with the current one here. I must admit, I add in Autumn Sky to get her some recognition in the MLP OC fan art as well for myself in the MLP fan artist community. Still, she much like the rest of the Bat Ponies.

I would like to explain more about the drawing but let's getting late and I'm tired and you can define this drawing yourself. Hopefully, the spirit of Halloween is still there to light the mood for this drawing.
