From those you trust?

Have you ever been depressed?
A gut-wrenching feeling of despair?
Or a feeling of worthlessness, of sadness, or emptiness?

Have you ever lost a friend?
1, or 10?
Or have everyone turn his or her back on you?

I cannot explain properly what I’ve gone through
It’d be near impossible.

I’d rather have people know I’ve gone though what they may have
That I can relate to them and help them.

For you see, I’ve gotten over all of these walls
I’ve found ways to cope that don’t destroy oneself.

I’ve gone through much more.
But I cried one last time and promised to never again.

For I know help is hard to find, and tears rarely solve things
They are a short-term fix to a long-term problem
