Don't know about a title, so,please forgive me xDanyway....if anyone says Goku is a worse father is going to be final flashed by me into the next dimension very personally xD

... But no, I don't think there's anything wrong with the title. I use Vegeta/Bra all the time, it doesn't necessarily refer to "pairings". It's perfectly okay IMO!!

Vegeta did one up Goku in the "my kids are cuter then yours" department ^-^. To be honest, Goku's good with kids in general. Vegeta is not, he's only good with Bulla and occasionally Trunks XD. Trunk's is basically Bulma's but Bulla is Vegeta's ^-^

Furthermore, Vegeta in Super shows all signs of being as tsundere as a father to Bulla as he is to Kid Trunks. He might trust Trunks' abilities to a point (but even then he was protective against Frieza).
The negative aspect of projecting daddy's girl nonsense onto (always the tsundere chars) fathers is it almost always infantilizes girls as weaker.
Thankfully canon Vegeta, while showing signs of character development and adapting more to human father standards doesn't appear to be buying into 'protect mah princess who cares about mah son' bs that fandom loves to project onto him. Fandom made me dislike Bulla and Vegeta's relationship, what bare basic amounts there is in canon.

Like what is there to go on that Vegeta's good with Bulla but only occasionally Trunks?? Because he held her when coaxed by his wife? The man lied to his son about Frieza being good to protect him! He likely stayed on Earth for Trunks after Cell. But a former badass held a girl baby and that trumps all the development he had with his son I guess.

This makes no sense when there's so little to go on regarding Bulla and Vegeta'a relationship while Vegeta's relationship with BOTH versions of his sons are huge formative parts of his character. And like? We see Vegeta individually sacrifice himself for both versions of Trunks. We see Vegeta invested in both versions of his son.
Even Super doesn't warrant this daddy's girl nonsense.

Gokū gave Bulla a positive impression, in all honesty.
After all, he did spend years with his newly formed (at the
time) family in total peace before the arrival of the Saiyajin.
And while it's still taking me some time to assimilate the fact that he WASN'T present during Gohan's birth, this man has shown more than once that he truely is a loving individual, and would do anything to protect those he cares about (and even those who don't); something he managed to project into Vegeta once the latter could finally let go of his pride and settle down.
TLDR VERSION: Our beloved Saiyajin may not be the best
fathers in the world but hey, do they really try their hardest.

Oh ja, das Bild ist wieder so süß geworden. Aber was sehe ich da? Knurrt Vegeta Goku schon regelrecht weg? ^^ Einfach niedlich. Papa Vegeta der Helikopterdad passt auf. Alles wird kalt gemacht, was sich nur nähert, also pass auf Goku. xD Ich will nicht wissen, wie Vegeta ist, wenn seine Tochter den ersten Freund anschleppt. Aber ich glaube seine Tochter hat ihn dann auch so im Griff wie Bulma.^^ Der würde dann warscheinlich irgendwo in einer Ecke brüten und wüten, so dass sich da eine graue Schlechtwetterfront ausbreitet, während seine Tochter einfach ihr Dingen durchziehen würde.

Goku was, IMHO, kind of absent as a father, but it is quite understandable given the circumstances. Goku may be a more loving grandparent than he was as a father, but who isn't? Also, he is great with kids, he really seems to enjoy every little kid he comes across with. Also, Saiyans being parents to their of offspring seems to be more about changing their ways to be more like people in Earth, since I don't think Saiyans really raised their children beyond keeping track of who they were and what they were doing. So, our Saiyans do the best they can, let's give them some credit.
And well, Goku's kids do adore him, that has to count for something, right?

To be fair, as far as I can tell Kid Trunks idolizes his father and thinks he's the coolest man in the universe.
When he saw Vegeta being beaten by Buu, he disregarded his own safety and Piccolo's orders and kicked Buu off.

Although, at least from what I perceive since I'm in the fandom, the fact that Vegeta's kids idolize him was never doubted. And more often than not has been pointed out that Vegeta, with his murderous ways and all, is waaay a better father than Goku. Which, I'm not discussing here. I'm just bringing out the idea that maaaybe Goku is not such a horrible father, that's all.

Yes, I think people exaggerate and attribute to malice what should be attributed to ignorance or instinct. In the end, Gohan, Goten and Trunks love, respect and admire their fathers a heck of a lot, and that should count above any fandom meme.
And I'm sure whenever we see a more modernly written Bra she'll love and admire her father too. Same for Pan and her grandfather.

Lol I dont care for the Super manga and sadly this whole stupid sentence from vegeta is the reason why the fandom is fighting against each other xD ppl seem to forget that there is DBZ after all wehre Goku was caring for his children. The way Goku is being portrayed is true to Toriyama's vision of him. Apparently only the royal family (Vegeta) see family as something more than close friends (Goku's case) or allies (more than likely the rest of the saiyans if even that). That being said would i say Goku is a bad dad? no, he was kinda dead he has an excuse lol, But the portrayal doesn't bother me a bit because it's Toriyama's writing of Goku and it paints Vegeta in a better light as a father (after that android saga accident and his sacrifice as a majin its great character development for Vegeta). I wouldn't let get to ya, it more power to the prince!! (And don't get the wrong idea, i just find Vegeta to be better lol)

Wobei ich sagen muss - wo du Goku und seine Vaterfigur ansprichst - ich glaube nicht, dass er ein schlechter Vater ist. Er macht sich sehr wohl Gedanken um seine Söhne, nur agiert er sehr egoistisch und denkt eben zuerst ans Kämpfen. Man könnte jetzt sagen, das liegt an seiner Abstammung, denn die Saiyajin sind ja so oder so das Kriegervolk schlechthin und für mich persönlich macht einen schlechten Elternteil wesentlich mehr aus, als einfachen Egoismus. Gut, Goku ist definitiv ein Pragmat, sonst hätte er Gohan nicht einfach Cell entgegengestellt, weil der Junge als einziger eine Chance hatte. Aber er liebt seine Söhne sicher nicht weniger stark, als andere Väter

Btw #funfact ich hab so gelacht damals, dass ausgerechnet Vegeta eine Tochter bekam! Dann auch noch voll das Papa-Kind

Goku is an awesome father in my opinion. like jeezus compared to my dad,hes a perfect padre deserving a nobel peace prize xD hes really good with kids and Gohan turned out so good as an adult. They are still close to each other. Its not Goku's fault that he wasnt there for Goten when he was born right? He didnt even know that Chichi was pregnant xD he decided to stay dead for the good of planet Earth after all right?!
and aahh oml this is so adorable!! In the episode,Bulla seemed to be getting along good with Goku (like what kid wouldnt lol) but Veggie is too much of a protective father l'D

He does seem to have grown into it more. He's certainly got a soft spot for Pan. But Toriyama himself said that outside of the royal family, most Saiyans usually are not very parental. I mean...is it any wonder when you have offspring that can mess up a planet as a baby? I don't think too many things are going to try and eat a baby Saiyan. XD But before that, I mostly chalked it up to Goku being a bit clueless when it came to certain things anyhow, and secondly that well....he wasn't really around with the rest of the crew for much of DBZ. It's kind of hard to even appear to take care of your kid when circumstances keep getting in the way. But I kind of think that while Goku certainly was proud of and cared for Gohan, and even Chichi in his fashion, they were more like close, dear friends, same as Krillin, Tien, Bulma and Yamcha. For the most part, they could take care of themselves (I mean, Chichi is no super warrior, but she's also no weakling) and he'd step in if trouble showed up that they couldn't handle.
