Yeah, but I'm still working on drawing Twintails. They don't always look right, every time I draw them. AndΒ personally I like hairstyle # 3.

No I hated them, because nearly every girl character I fought online had a ridiculous ponytail with bangs that was some god awful bright neon color...

Will, I do like side ponytails when they're done right, and not as brightly colored, usually something with a darker shade.Β

Well, I do like Soul Caliber it's one of my fave weapon fighting games, its just that they made it a bit tooΒ realistic with the graphics to a pointΒ where anime hairstyles just doesn't work anymore with it.

Okay then!
My favorite would be hair style 3 because it seems to be the most spunky out of all of them, and the white hair on number 1 is a rather nice touch! And who doesn't like huge pig tails?! Number 2 is also impressive because it's short, wavy and very simple. And sometimes really simple things are very hard to pull off (in my case anyway).
I will say one thing though. When you do highlights, try to make the outlines of the highlights just a tad bit lighter, that way way it doesn't look like a strand or bit of white hair. Just don't make it so light, you don't know where to put the highlight. I'm not too much of an expert when it comes to this stuff so um... sorry if some of that wasn't too helpful.

1) Looks like such a fiery style and I love the twin tails

Well the first one I was doing for one of Blackcats-13's OCs. ;D
The 2nd one inspired from 80s and early 90s anime hairstyles. This was popular with characters who had a carefree or baka type personality.
And the last one is a original hairstyle. The side ponytail is one of the popular ponytail hairstyles, when it comes to female characters. it is meant to make them cute and attractive looking. Now that I look at it, i might used it for a future female OC. X3
So would you give me some feelback on these hairstyle designs, please. it will be very useful to me.

the first one reminds me a lot of a character from Future Diary. so i don't think i'd be very good to use since it might be seen as unoriginal. the second one is just . . . ugly. i've only seen that hair style in Sailor Moon and i never want to see it anywhere else. it's just not attractive. you shaded it and drew it very well though. well done on that. the last design is just wonderful and i think that you should use it.

1. I know which character your talking about and I check there is no similarities. And besides twintails hairstyle is common in anime/manga. And not to mention this is for Blackcats-13's OC, it's up to her if she wants to used it or not. I just drew it for practice on Twintails Hairstyles, dear.
2. Ugly, eh? Well that's the point of it..this is the type of hairstyle that is given to a character who is either lazy or carefree or laid back so much, that they don't bother with keeping their hairstyle nice and tidy. And just don't care if they are attractive or not.

i like the highlights, but i think they look very blunt and awkward compared to the rest of the hair. i'd try a different way of doing them if i were you.

#1 got a wild, crazy but cool vibe going for it.
#2 makes me think it from an anime set in a high school. Probably an old one from, I don't know, late eighties maybe. But with the hair covering the eyes, it would make the character look like she about to do something sinister....
#3 makes me think, well, of a samurai. Just the way it is. But it's interesting that the ponytails to the side. Don't know why but it cool.
