Hey, would it be alright if I used this to help me write a book, these facts and the diagram really help, the numbers also help give a better image, would it be okay if I used it, or not, because I do a lot of research on "mystical" creatures such as sprites, Hippogriffs, Hippocampus, Manticores and other things, but when it comes to Lycan's my knowledge is limited, and I want to make my book really authentic, if you don't mind I would like to use your descriptions to better write my story!! Please get to me back as soon as you can!!!

I don't believe 'Lycans' are actually noted in the Cryptozoological field, though they touch upon werewolves or wolfmen slightly.
None of these are facts and are simple estimations on basically Anthropomorphic Wolves going by the data of real existing creatures such as wolves, bears, and hyenas.
Creative inspiration is one thing, but if you wish authenticity, delve yourself into some biology books and werewolf mythos instead.
Best advice, find facts and let your imagination run with them <3
Pleasant writing.

Thanks, but I think that this really helps more than a lot of the others that I tried to find, plus I really believe even if it isn't in that field it really should be, but thanks, if you ever want to read my story I can tell you where it is!! Any way thanks so much!!

I read what you put in your "description" as you could call it, but it would bring me peace of mind to know that you still gave your consent

It would certainly be interesting.... I'd settle for someone getting official evidence of Sasquatch before I die though. XD
Earth is pretty awesome, even without bipedal wolves.

I draw for fun, sometimes for small commissions, but mostly for fun.
I regret to say that I don't really have the dedication to be a part of a project like that, though I do wish you great luck on it.
Hope it turns out nice ^^

Great reference for anybody who would want to do Lycans, like me!!! I can't wait to try drawing one and maybe try to do an animation with the help of the reference of the walking wolf that you put. I also like the vital Statistics that is given who is great went you do characters charts. Thanks

The Lifespan is merely an estimation and these are technically not 'werewolves', they do not transform into humans at all, they are their own breed.
While some can live to be 80 or 90, most live only into their 60's.

I know what you mean, though I do believe in many types of Werewolves, THESE are in change permanently. Although I do like the shifters every now and then, on majority, I prefer these guys.
I hate the 'were-bear' things are pretty messed up, haven't seen New Moon, I've sworn off all things Twilight. Though I did see 'Cursed' a 2005 film and the werewolf looked like a fucking Koala! I'm not kidding! A very angry Koala and when they shifted, they lost ALL HAIR only to grow it back again? I was like... 'WTF!!??'. Koala Werewolf --> [link]

I like to see diffrent transformations from diffrent movies my all time favorites are Hellsing and American werewolf in london...I guess I like the cursed one but yeah all the hair loss was weird and the were didn't even resembal the chick...she was blonde and the wolf was brown :/

RedWolfmoon In reply to Sindaj [2010-02-17 02:37:36 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I just thought it was stupid. American Werewolf in London is good, I liked that movie a lot and, though I don't care for the Hellsing person or vampires, it was rather well done. The style of werewolf was much more original then most they come up with.

Every time I've done anything to get my hair 'straight' it just becomes wavy, confused the hell out of the salon folk. "I just don't get why it isn't working" Lol. Plus, I have crazy thick hair too, 'lush' they call it, more so then most people. Fear my foofy hair!!!!
Also, my hair has 3 names 'Flopsy', 'Mopsy', or 'Cottontail' depending on the day and if you saw it on those 3 different days, you would totally understand. XD

Poofy hair is cool until you have it. How often do you get tangles? Knots in your hair and I mean bad ones, like you tossed and turned all night enough to almost have dreadlocks! That's how my hair gets, if I don't constantly manage it, brush it like twice a day or so, it just becomes rats' nest, with sticks and leaves and even a bird's nest after a while!!!

O.o wow....I had a huge problemw ith nots and tangels that woudl leave me crying trying to get them out (out out was a mess when it was long nad I was tender headed) but then I cut it off and now it's a gazillion times better. :-> +

That's what I did, got sick of the knots and just got my hair cut short, but now I'm trying to get my hair a little length again, hopefully I'll be able to manage without tearing it all out.
