First title not part of my original list- the new Netflix animated film Klaus.
A couple of my friends from previous work and university actually worked to help clean this film up so I had to see it, and IT BLEW ME AWAY!
Half the time I couldn't tell if anything was 2d or 3d, everything is wonderfully textured and painterly, and despite being toonboom 2d hand drawn animation, there's no outlines or anything on the characters! The story is heart touching, heart ripping out, and heart stitching back together with hot chocolate, incredibly sweet and hilarious.
Being a line lover, making this piece seem textured and lineless was a real challenge, but at this stage I feel any modifications will wreck it so here we are!
