Hide's personality can be described as aggressive if nothing else. Growing up in a gang background taught her to be tough and resourceful. She's dedicated to what she sets her mind to and her strong will is hard to break. Hideko is extremely loyal to the few people she decides to open up to and trust and would do most anything for these people, including kill if she has to. If someone crosses her or her friends, Hide can become unforgiving and resentful. She holds grudges, being on her bad side is not a place you want to be. In addition, she can be overly critical of people and sometimes judges others by their appearance / outward looks. Hide is willing to take risks and loves the adrenaline rush she gets from racing. Given the chance, and unless someone can get her under control, she will start fights and destroy property.

HISTORY
Hideko grew up in a crappy neighborhood. Most of her childhood was influenced by two rival gangs that had claimed the area where she lived as their turf. Her father was a prominent member of one of these gangs, so as she grew older she found herself fighting to protect her life and the turf of her father's gang. She quickly gained street smarts and began to gain a reputation in her neighborhood as being a bit of a punk.
When she entered high school, everyone already knew of her yakuza background and kind of avoided her because of it. This never bothered her as she preferred to spend her time alone since she never really got along with others anyway.
One day she discovered that another student from her school was a part of the rival gang that kept trying to claim her father's turf. After this discovery she picked a fight with the kid and they agreed to step outside and throw some hands. However, unbeknownst to her, one of the yakuza kid's buddies had brought a knife to the fight, and as soon as there was an opening....

Realizing that if they were caught they would be charged criminally, the students fled the scene.

Hideko lay bleeding out on the pavement when she was spotted by a fellow student named Daichi. Seeing her wounded, he quickly called for help and Hide was rushed to the hospital. After she was healed and back at school, Daichi began trying to befriend the girl. This annoyed Hide to death. She was already embarrassed that he'd had to come to her rescue, seeing him just wounded her pride more.
Eventually, after much persistence, Hide began to get used to having him around. She stopped running away from him and started seeking him out, and before long the two were best friends. Later, after the both graduated, Daichi introduces her to the racing world in order to keep her out of trouble and to keep her away from the punk yakuza kids that kept seeking her out.
