The Jupiter-class was a class of dreadnought starship used by the Federation Starfleet in the early 25th century. During the early 2400s Starfleet appeared to reserve this vessel for use as the flagship of large battle groups. The class was large, bulky, and slow to move, but extremely durable and featured powerful armament. It could generate gravity wells ahead of it to trap opponents, making them easier targets for its forward dual phaser banks.
