In Star Wars Universe, Bothawui the homeworld the Bothans. However is a gas giant with planetary ringed system named "Golm" (Known as Bothawui Prime), was considered to be strategically important during the Clone Wars , leading to it being the site of a battle between Jedi General Anakin Skywalker and General Grievous that halted a Separatist advance .[4] Later in the war, around the time the Galactic Republic suffered a loss on Ryloth , Bothawui hosted another battle, though this engagement ended with many Republic losses. Several of the individuals who taught the human Wilhuff Tarkin to fly starships originated on this world, despite the great distance between the world and the planet Eriadu where Tarkin lived.[7] Many years later, Imperial resources were redirected from Bothawui by the Imperial Navy to help deal with Tarkin's corvette , Carrion Spike , after it was stolen by dissidents . Bothan has been mentioned in Return of the Jedi. I remembered the expand of the Taur Force 64, ReesecandyVerse, Star Wars, Star Trek, or Lightyear Universe.

It was the homeworld of the Bothan race as well as a major hub for information trafficking. It was also the center of the Bothan Spynet , widely agreed upon to be the best network of information gathering in the galaxy . The Imperial name for the planet was Bothawui Proper.

In 22 BBY ,[2] a battle was fought between the Galactic Republic and Confederacy of Independent Systems in orbit of the planet. A Republic naval task force regrouped in Bothawui Prime's orbit after several vicious confrontations with a Separatist fleet led by General Grievous . They were the only line of defense between him and Bothawui itself. As Grievous's frigates swooped in to attack the Republic cruisers , groups of AT-TE walkers hidden on the asteroids of Bothawui Prime's rings, opened fire on the vessels' unguarded sterns and turned the tide of battle, helping to stop his assault on Bothawui.
