Finally finished! And right before New Years, too.

With 2017 being a year of old things obtaining big reboots, I think it is the best time to introduce my OC's 2017 reboot. Now, if you were wondering about the reason for the sudden change in design, I have began giving most of my characters distinct art styles to each of them to give them all a unique feel.

As you can see with the picture, I had taken Reg in a totally different direction. Unlike the previous incarnations of the character, this Reg has a totally new outfit instead of his yellow button-up, blue jeans, and brown shoes. Going deeper, the previous incarnations all had more of a Eastern/Anime influence, while Reg's 2017 design draws from Western Animations, particularly the works of classic Warner Brothers Studios cartoons; particularly the Looney Tunes and the Tokyo Movie Shinsha (or was it Startoons...?) animation style for Tiny Toons.

Another big influence to Reg's reboot is artist Eric Schwartz. I loved his art, his cartoons, and his series Sabrina Online way back when, and rediscovering his works inspired me, and this is the result.

Overall, I am very proud of the final product, and I am very pleased on how the pattern of his new button-up; that part took some time to do and it turned out SO good ^_^. Plus I am surprised I managed to finish this within the month.

EDIT!:

I went back to edit Reg's shoelaces to make it more "toon-y". Also, I was right about the artstyle being Tokyo Movie Shinsha inspired (thanks to going back and rewatching a few Tiny Toons episodes).
