Painted this ^ was pretty fun!I made an bit of a bungle, you'll hear the details when you watch the video though lol

Took about 45 min I think, I wound up fiddling around a lot near the end and I was stopping to talking stopping to talk a lot. (I was giving tips that no one will hear now lol)
NOTE: I intentionally used no textures etc. It was all flat Round Brush, Lasso Tool and Gradients. I figured using fancy brushes and textures would just confuse you rather than help.

Just wondering, could you tell me the filesize of the video. I really want to watch it, but I only have Internet from my phone wifi, and that shiz is like $10 for 1gb, so I have to be careful about what I do otherwise I'll have a ridiculous bill. Cheers man!

Actually it was pretty fantastical! I picked up a bunch of new stuff. Of course now it's been a while I need to sit down and watch them again to absorb more info. You vids are definitely helping me man.

That was really interesting! Thanks a lot for making that, you have technique very different to mine so very useful to see, I have to try that as well.
Really too bad about the audiotrack, I would've loved to hear you explain some of it. Lot of it was quite self explanatory as in what you were doing even if not why. The bit that puzzled me was painting on top of the figure on another layer, but looking at the finished picture I guess that was the slightly less dark bits on his uniform?

It's just one of the ways I've learnt to get more speed out of art!
When I have time to have a sketch base etc, I use em.
Yeah I'll have it fixed in the next video haha. Oh yeah, I noticed that too, yeah I was just putting in some subtle details and shading while I talked about the context of the picture I think.
