well im not entirely sure. in the new game he has got black hair but it seems like the white starts to come out more and more. i think its a devil awakening or something... as he gets more powerful.
atm theres not enough known about the next DMC for me to be accurate though. so its speculation

I was one of the messiest artists I knew for a long time, slowly got cleaner but its nice to just spew art out again sometimes

I know that feel. I'm starting to adjust to a new form to dra, because it makes my job so much cleaner. But every once in a while, I say "screw this" and start doodling like there's no tomorrow.

I may have made it too large in that pic, but its a balance thing, in reality things like greatswords are supposed to have an equal counter weight on each side otherwise you will wind up swinging it in a way that pulls your body where ever its going similar to a gigantic hammer or axe.
For better accuracy and general use, the balanced blade is far better.
I haven't fully designed the final weapon yet, but another reason for the long handle is so he can use it like a pole-arm/spear as well

With such a large hilt of the sword would be difficult to parry enemy attacks
Because it will get in the way if you set it in front of. You will be able to defend yourself only from the sides if you holding the sword close to sword guard.. And it will be very difficult rotate a sword, to perform any tricks of fencing. And it will be easy to crush the enemies around you holding the sword close to the pommel.
But weapons in fantasy games/stories do not necessarily correspond to reality.

With it being so balanced, you can hold it at the end of the handle as you would a normal sword, however most attacks he does with this weapon are two handed attacks I imagine, one hand near the end of the handle, the other near the hilt

I haven't written the whole thing, But I know where its going, this story is actually really new but I kept it as simple as possible because I tend to make things complicated naturally XD
Until this year my story was a massive complicated messy big old monster that was too much for my determination and planning level
