Description The Petramic Period is the fourth time period of the Mesozoic Era, preceded by the Cretaceous Period and beginning roughly 65 million years ago after the Chicxulub Impact. The Petramic Period is spilt into four smaller segments, the Early Petramic, Early Middle Petramic, Middle Petramic and the Late Petramic.

Spinasuchus piscatorem

Weight: 2,000 to 3,500 kilograms
Length: 8 metres
Height(at hip): 3 metres

Family: Spinosauridae
Subfamily: Baryonychinae
Tribe: Ceratosuchopsini

Spinasuchus is a spinosaurid that emerged during the Early Petramic time period of the Mesozoic Era shortly after the Chixculub Impact. Its body structure is mainly consistent with other spinosaurids. However, it has a much more well developed occipital condyle, giving its head a wider range of motion, along with much more neck muscles allowing for more head strength, as well as a specialised first tooth that is used commonly as a spear. It’s diet consists of mainly fish or shellfish, using its tooth to spear them or break open shells.
