I think TTG should have aired on Kids WB instead of Cartoon Network because the show itself (and the OG Teen Titans) were both produced by Warner Bros., not Cartoon Network.

What I think is going on is that, they're actually making fun of the DC studio itself. Because they themselves are fans of the original TT show, but they are forced to do this so they want people to stop watching this so the show gets cancelled. :/ The Team Titans are DC Studio in a nutshell.

Yes, this was the most insulting episode of TTG for me.
What makes it insulting is that it thinks I hate the show for not being "dark" enough.
My problem isn't that at all. In fact, the original Teen Titans has some pretty stupid moments as well, however none of that is as painfully cringeworthy as fighting over who is the superior gender or even a goddamned juice box..

I don't know. After bitching and complaining about Teen Titans Go! We actually deserved it. See? THIS is what happens when you don't stop bitching about Teen Titans Go!. The original was better, yes, but you're actually making me like Teen Titans Go! a LOT!! And besides, IT'S JUST FOR KIDS!!!!

Well, your argument is invalid. The show was mean-spirited before it started attacking fans of the original. You got a problem with that?

Okay, you were right. Teen Titans Go! doesn't even deserve to happen. The original is way better. But that's not gonna make me hate the new Dexter's Laboratory more, since their new seasons were not as bad as Teen Titans Go!

Alright. One, the "Just for kids" excuse is stupid, and two, I respect you're a fan of the Dexter's Lab reboot, but I don't like people who treat opinions as facts.

There is no actual Dexter's Laboratory reboot. I'm sorry if you don't like my argument on TTG, and I know I shouldn't bash other people who hate the new Dexter's Laboratory, but I'm not to blame for saying Tartakovsky approved of the change. ChannelFrederator said that in their 107 Facts About Dexter's Laboratory. If there WAS a reboot of Dexter's Laboratory, it would be run by the people who worked on the 2016 Powerpuff Girls reboot.
I grew up more with Dexter's Laboratory (even the digitally animated seasons) when I was little more than I did with shows like Rugrats, the Wild Thornberrys, Rocket Power, As Told by Ginger, and any show from Jim Jinkins. Those shows I do not care for. I especially hate the art of the shows I mentioned I don't care for. They just look terrible.

Well, that argument was invalid and I'm sorry that I sounded a bit harsh, but sometimes people like Mr. Enter have Asperger's Syndrome. That means they like what they like and dislike what they dislike. I understand you like the Savino era of Dexter, but you need to know that not everybody is going to like the same things as you. If they did, that would be boring.

It's fine if they don't like them, they just need to understand why Genndy Tartakovsky asked Chris Savino to take over Dexter's Laboratory.

I fixed a few errors in your review summary, so do the same thing as always:
My god, it all makes sense: they've been doing this shit on purpose! They've ALWAYS been doing stupid shit on purpose! Unlike what Mr. Enter said in his Top 10 Worst Patrick's a Prick episodes, this actually DOES carry over to other episodes of the show: it has a very strange continuity, it tends to pick and choose and, worst of all, it especially affects episodes aired before it. Yeah, the Toddlers have been doing their stupidity and bullshit completely on purpose and think they can redeem themselves with their own take on pretending to be "serious and edgy". I can understand that the Frank Miller syndrome kind of took hold of a lot of comics, but come on! Did you have to make Starfire and Raven ass-ugly? Admittedly, them attempting to be serious are kind of funny because, for the first time, they actually managed to get parody right; too bad they ruined it by admitting they bullshit on purpose. And they end up disbanding over—get this—a juice box; also, they ruined it by not being able to balance themselves like the originals, so they became parodies of a parody. Yeah, they haven't changed at all, especially since the last scene has them go back to being sugar high and mental. Worst "adherence to status quo" ever, guys.
I feel like the writers were literally insulting us fans of the original series, telling us: "FUCK YOU! We don't care if you loved the original cartoon! This is OUR SERIES, and we can taint these beloved characters however we want! This is what we think of your precious original series! And what the fuck do you care about a different adaption? After all, the original cartoon was way different than the comics!" That may be, but at least the original series had dignity and integrity. Sure, sometimes it got a little stupid, but that was largely due to censorship issues. You guys are being idiotic and brain-dead for its own sake. This is just sickening; it's beyond being stupid for stupidity's sake, and you are actively maliciously insulting those that criticize your cash cow. Fuck you, Warner Bros.

WARNING! Carry on reading! Or you will die, even if you only looked at the word warning!
Once there was a little girl called Clarissa, she was ten-years-old and she lived in a mental
hospital, because she killed her mom and her dad. She got so bad she went to kill all the
staff in the hospital so the More-government decided that best idea was to get rid of her so
they set up a special room to kill her, as humane as possible but it went wrong the
machine they were using went wrong. And she sat there in agony for hours until she died.
Now every week on the day of her death she returns to the person that reads this letter, on
a Monday night at 12:00 a.m. She creeps into your room and kills you slowly, by cutting you
and watching you bleed to death. Now send this to ten other pictures on this one site, and
she will haunt someone else who doesn't. This isn't fake. apparently, if you copy and paste
this to ten comments in the next ten minutes you will have the best day of your life tomorrow. You
will either get kissed or asked out, if you break this chain u will see a little dead girl in yo

The original series was too spotty in terms of seriousness and faithfulness to be held sacred to begin with IMO. It had too many moments ruined for cheap gags/pratfalls (sometimes of the anime sort) and took too many liberties with the original source material.
The real problem with Go! is the writers; they came from MADtv, which perfectly explains the hamfisted writing of most episodes.

It's you barely watch the original show. The original actually was faithful in its own way to the comics. Also they did very well with balancing serious and comedy hence why the original series is sacred. They knew when to be serious and knew when to be funny and when they were funny the joke said gutted bullseyes

How dare you sir. Of course I saw the original series. But I also saw every other DC animated series, and those were actually much more serious, without any animu pandering. Did you watch the movie Justice League vs. Teen Titans? That was much more faithful to the original comics. (New 52 tie-in aside, it didn't whitewash Raven's origin.) TT was more sanitized, with Slade being deprived of his motivation so no kids would sympathize with him.
And a lot those humorous moments were cheap anime weeaboo doubletakes.
And why are you doing this to another post of mine all of a sudden?

Taz2300 In reply to Awesome-O [2017-02-09 02:44:27 +0000 UTC]
Then you sir really are an ignorant fool. Teen Titans didn't need to be dark and edgy to be good. It could still be serious and grand while also being funny. And going for an anime feel was a stylistic choice so the fact that you spit on anime just shows how pathetic you are. Just because the movie was faithful doesn't make it good so that logic is foolish. Slade didn't need to be sympathized because he's still a sinful cold blooded man. TT still succeeded in being an amazing by deviating from stories.

You calling me ignorant only shows how obsessive and defensive you get. I like anime. I also like a lot of less serious shows. I just don't care for half-hearted pandering and uncreative copypaste style art references. You may feel TT had a good balance of drama and comedy. I personally didn't. I've watched animation since the 80s extending back several decades, so I know my stuff.
And villains with motives are more often than not more interesting than those without, because while you're not supposed to root for them, they often create more interesting foils for the heroes, and all but the most vile of villains have a reason behind what they do.

Taz2300 In reply to Awesome-O [2017-02-09 06:48:09 +0000 UTC]
If you really think that about the show then I truly pity your ignorance seeing as how you fail to see how well it did blending anime. Slade actually did have motives to take over the world
Also a villain doesn't have to be deep or complex to be a good villain. A villain can still be great when they are good at being cunning. Aku and Bill Cipher are great villains and they aren't complex like say Mr Freeze
