This an older drawing of two of my older characters Mitch and Katherine, and the scene actually occurs around the beginning of my book.

Katherine decided to take a bath in this pool, unaware that it was a magical pool that lures you in and then sucks the life out of you. It also casts a sort of mental spell to keep you from wanting to leave, so anyone who gets into it usually has to be removed by force. Mitch didn't really want to save her, but he couldn't let her die either and no one else would do it, so he went and pulled her out. Obviously, neither of them are terribly pleased about the situation.

The thing I really hated about this particular drawing is the paper I did it on. It's really grainy, and the pencil smeared easilly so it was hard to get in any detail. I was pretty bored by the time I had to draw the trees.
