Premiere of costumes - TNT GT 7 Mexico (video)
I actually wanted to make a Mystique costume during a couple of years. And finally we were invited as cospaly guests to Mexico for the second time and decided to prepare new costumes for the show 
This is the compilation of diffirent Mystique's versions with golden skulls, like in the old versions and long boots and gloves like on figurine versions. But Mystique can be different, that's the main point x) So, sorry fans, if you don't recognize the version of the costume, I hope you'll like mine too )
Actually I look a bit like a monstr on this picture with the blue face x)

This is the Mystique I knew in the comics growing up! The nasty ol' gal that threw Nightcrawler for a loop when she mentioned a possible link to their bloodlines! And holy man, do those eyes ever drill right through you! Like you're studying the next target to shapeshift into!
I love the blue and the use of the skulls. Thank you so much for doing a tribute to the original design of this supervillain!

I started selling plushies at anime conventions three years ago. Every time I go, I always fascinated and amazed at the costumes people create. It truly is amazing. It's so much part of the fun! They would be so much duller if people didn't do it!
You and your friends (that gal that cosplayed as Rogue) do wonderful work. It shows you put a lot of thought and effort into them, to stay true to the characters, even if you 'mix' things!

Rei-Rei. I've seen so many of these cosplayers using blue face grease paint. What did you do to make it so natural looking?
I've got two months to get my cosplay up and running for our local convention.
Any tips would be amazing.

Oh, thank you! I actually had many problems with body paint too. For the face I used Snazaroo paint. But it's not very good for my dry skin. I hope I'll try Kryolan Airbrush paint instead. And I made blue body suit for blue arms and legs. Hope it'll help.

it did help. I ended up going with Ben Nye makeup since i was already familiar with it from Theatre many years ago and also went with the bodysuit.

it looks really good to me....nice and smooth......did you just paint your face...or did you paint your whole body? if so you did a really amazing just with it not rubbing off on the costume.....it is truly perfect
