Lots of time without uploating anything new.

This time, I tried to do something different and to pay a little homage to Japanese art, particularly the Ukiyo-e style, that's why I tried to combine in one piece some of the most known themes of this type of art: the geishas, the Mount Fuji and the sea waves.

I'm sure the sea wave would seem familiar to you. As many would have guessed, it's inspired in The Great Wave of Kanagawa, posibly the most famous piece of Japanese art. [link]

Another symbolic detail are the chrysanthemums decorating the haircomb, which is decorated with the Japanese Imperial Seal.

Lastly, what does the kanji mean? "Japan", or the "Land of the Rising Sun", which is basically the same title for this country.

Mucho tiempo sin subir ningún dibujo.

Esta vez intenté hacer algo diferente y hacer un pequeño homenaje al arte japonés, en particular al estilo Ukiyo e, por ellos trate combinar en un solo dibujo algunos de los temas más característicos de este estilo de grabado: las geishas, el monte Fuji y las olas del mar.

Estoy segura de que la ola les parecerá familiar. Como muchos habrán adivinado, esta inspirada en La Gran Ola de Kanagawa, posiblemente el grabado japonés más famoso. [link]

Otro detalle simbólico son los crisantemos que decoran la peineta, la cual esta decorada con el Sello Imperial de Japón.

Por último, ¿qué significan esos kanjis? Japón, o lo que es lo mismo, “La Tierra del Sol Naciente”
