I'm glad I managed to make a good work of the lights, and I sure hope it wasn't a lucky shot and I can do that again ! It's sad when you see a galery and the recent works ain't always the best. Sometimes you're biased and don't pick the best result. Like my sister often likes previous versions of my renders better and then I look back to it, think a little and figure out that the previous one was indeed better. Editing the colors too much in Photoshop can make it less realistic. That's why a checker is a good option !

We learn with every step we make. Maybe next time you make it even better.
And a bit of luck isn't something bad, accept that luck happens and make the best of it.
With art there can never be a real good or bad choice. When you like what you did, than
it's totally okay. With the time we see at older pieces that now we could make it better.
Other opinions are always welcome, but sometimes too many cooks spoil the broth.

Oh, I love re-doing old things. Feels so good to replace something poor you hate with something new and shiny that you're at least a little proud of. There are tricks for everything, but then there's also luck. If you had an idea and it turns out it doesn't look good, then try something else. If something you were doing half-hearted turns out amazing, hallelujah.

It kind of looks like Kolyat is wathcing a third person in the room. Is he following this person's order? Almost make you think Kolyat is unsure of what to do and the person is rushing him. At least that's what I like to think because remember Kolyat was a newbie in his assassin's occupation!.. We didn't see him kill that Turian maybe he wouldn't have the guts to pull the trigger ( or that's what happens in my playthough everytime anyway. Don't know if we can let him be an assassin. Don't think so. )

Or he got interrupted at the last moment like in the game, and is turning away brain-dead. But I like your idea, he must have started somewhere. They make it sound like he's always been completly solo ( no-one even realises he's not Thane ) but surely he didn't decide to become an assassin, grabed a gun and immediatly went for it. Given how he's a little of a happy-trigger, I'd say he at least trained by shooting passers in the knee.
Well, what's inappropriately hilarious with this loyalty mission is that Thane wants to protect him from becoming a killer, tinting his soul with blood, but before taking the target turian hostage he actually shoots one or two of his guards. Maybe they didn't die from it, but still, Thane speeching about his son being needed by the world pulls out giggles if you think about the corpses waiting outside.

Also, Kolyat sure does take this quote really seriously. I only beat ME2 like twice so I had to remember Kolyat WAS an assassin, actually. Or tried to be. Kids that make bad life choices because their dad did are lame ( not saying Kolyat is lame, just kids in real life ) like kids ending up dealing drugs or so because their dad is in prison. Puff! Pathetic!
Now that I said something negative about people in general : still like Kolyat! His french voice wasn't really making him likable, but his sharp face surely did. Too bad we didn't see a lot from him.

Well, I get them smooth, but I definitely don't beat you at making the renders harmonious.
Kids becoming what their terrible father was willingly is still a little beyond me. Having issues because of it alright, but being angry at him, hating him and following his lead when you could not ? Not processing here.
I really love his face. I love the fact they gave that face to the team-mate's son. H'se totally that kind of kid that looks adult under some lights and barely not a child anymore under others.
