PHENOTYPE: He is a steel blue with brindle point (tan point with brindle over top) and a white spot on his chest. He is out of a blue piebald male and a brindle-pointed black female. Blue skin over body, with some pink skin around nose and in ears. Eyes are a caramel brown and nails are also blue. Pads are grey.

TEMPERAMENT
Other dogs: Depends who you ask. He accepts other dogs but will not back down from a fight. He is wary of other dogs, especially intact males, but doesn't initiate issues. He is a "helper" when certain dogs disagree. Many times, during a scrap, he will run into the scrap and bowl dogs over to break it up. But when he is the one in the middle of a fight, he won't stop unless he is intensely discouraged or distracted by something. Docility with other dogs is not something that should be expected of this breed but it is not of any fighting strain so aggression with other dogs is also not something to be expected.

People: Cito has similar temperament to some Corsi I've have in the past, but slightly more reserved and suspicious. On walks, he stares at people but doesn't make any advances toward them. He barely barks. He uses his eyes and nose with everything but rarely his voice or mouth. BUT, in natural courage tests, he does use his voice a LOT and goes in for bites whenever he can. When I let his leash loose (I actually need to be helped by a man during these tests; he is extremely strong), the decoy has no chance of getting away. Truly. Again, when threatened, he won't back down.

Stability: Very high. He has NEVER lashed out at a friendly person or dog. He is very predictable. I love this about him. He is a well-bred guardian. I believe a true guard dog should be stable in this way. You can't have a guardian dog that bites everyone when they are only supposed to bite those who threaten him, his family, or his home. And yes, I have insurance, and I pay a good sum of money yearly to have a guard dog in this close vicinity to the city.

Drive and Instinct: Medium high. He knows when its time to settle down and when it's time to go. He isn't the type that is always moving and always "go go go!" He can be that way, but usually only when he should be. Good guard instinct.

CONFORMATION
Overall a large male with good CDPM conformation. Tall, good length of body, large mastiff head, short stop with large and clear eyes, tail rings over when alert or excited, good feet with tight toes, wide stance, handsome dog.

HEALTH
Hips: PennHIP 100th Percentile (0.46/0.51)
Elbows: PennHIP 100th Percentile (0.54/0.55)
Thyroid: Normal.
Heart: Normal sounds and good systolic/diastolic beat.
Eyes: Normal; CMR-Clear

DAILY LIFE
Nutrition: Spring Meadows, titrating Lamb and Chicken every other meal. His favorite treats are green apples and Grizzly Salmon NuTreats.

Disciplines: Protection. We don't do PP with a lot of dogs, but Cito has the stuff needed for this, and this will be a good outlet for his natural ability and need to work.

Workouts:
1. Thirty minutes on treadmill at Level 5, then 1 hour jogging with me and the pack, in morning

2. Thirty to forty minutes on the HydroHound in afternoon

3. One to two hour walk with me and a select few from the pack

Most days I go for a walk in the city with a few dogs as well. This does not include training outings.

Habits/Vices: Scratching at the door to come in, and climbing fences.
