I went on sunday last year because my friend got sick :C and luckily she got better by then so we went, and I had so much fun I thought I was going to die when we left. I REALLY want to go next year, but, AE had to be stupid like this. I never thought about volunteering. What do you do exactly?

as for me, i went pre-volunteer day and did some labour, then i did bag stuffing, registration, room watching and that's it. :3
i thought volunteering was a lot more fun then the events though, since you don't go to all of them anyway x3

lol my mom made me the Alphonse cloak and my friend was wearing it. My friend didn't cosplay because she was being an idiot. I finally convinced her to wear the cloak and it was obvious she had more fun when she actually fit in XD At anime conventions, if you don't cosplay, you just feel lost. When you DO cosplay, you make friends. And occasionally get whistled at. >.>

lol I got screamed at once. Some freaky kid on a sugar rush almost gave me a heart attack. O.O" My feet died after only one day. Stupid mary-janes. Also it was raining wich made my feet wet, my hair tangled, and soaked my death note. They should have made the buildings closer together.

buuut, in defense to that, since i was a volunteer and heard a zillion complaints with my own included: the venue was a last minute change and it was miraculous we even got enough rooms in our short amount of time. in addition, the rooms we did book for AE was pretty much what was left of UBC we could use (or something like that). x3
hey, at least you didn't have to run around doing errands for the staff and stuff x3

lol I agree to that. I'm quite glad we got space at UBC. Very glad. I was actually the first person to suggest UBC on the forums on the day they announced SFU was being stupid, but people told me UBC doesn't do conventions -.- and I even looked it up but they were all like "blah blah blah no they don't blah* and so I ditched the idea. I wonder what it will be like at the convention centre. I'm guessing easier for the staff XD

I've never been there myself either, but I know people who have and they said it was pretty big, so that's good. I'm really not too happy that it's during school time, because what's the point of it being a summer anime convention when it's not during summer break? I hope you can make it :] And I hope I can too. I don't want to go for only one day next year. When you watch all those videos on YouTube afterwards, you get all depressed about all the things you missed. :C

I went around in costume stores everywhere, and I couldn't find a white wig that woukd work. All of them were either light blonde, gray, or white ones that can't be styled. I don't know what I'll have to do if I can't find one ;.; I guess I'll just wear an L mask or something XD the hardest costumes are the ones with short, weird coloured hair. or the really revealing ones that make you look like a slut XD

I used to like lululemon, but it's gotten really boring, and I can't wear tight clothes. It just feels really uncomfortable.

HELL YES I TRIED! I had one week because I went on vacation, and the boxers we had to make actually turned out all right, but the whole time I was sewing I kept muttering filthy things about it >:\ at least I passed
you can still look nice in dark clothing, just not all black =.= unless you're applying for a job in Millenium X3 I do have SOME brightly coloured clothing like pink and purple and junk but I still prefer dark >]

I have slightly tan skin, although I can look really pale sometimes. I rarely ever wear yellow. Yellow is pure evil. Reminds me of Mountain Dew, wich reminds me of piss.

That sound really pretty :3 Most of my chinese friends are extremely pale o.o but then again, they're all from the same area. I'm german and hungarian with a hint of japanese, so I don't have very dark colouring. My hair used to be dirty blonde but I dyed it brown.
