bishoujo (pretty girl) + bishounen (pretty guy) = bishoujen (pretty whatever).. *made up* XDthis could've been a girl if only i wasnt reminded of kenshin's image.. XD it was originally planned to be a fanart for rukia.. lol....! really.. til it finally ended up looking like no one... *messed up fan work* XD
done using prisma colored pencils.. this is probably why i stopped coloring traditionally.. because they almost look the same with my mechanical pencil + photoshop works.. >x<" the previous submission (miku) was mechanical pencil + photoshop work.. the difference..? that's a lot easier coz i didnt have to put pressure to get the solid colors i want for the hair.. XD unlike here, i almost rip the paper.. XD
i just suddenly felt like coloring on the paper after a long break with my colored pencils...
8 colored used for this piece.. lol.. the colors kinda changed after being scanned.. but im not sure which is better.. lol...

Maybe it's the female version of Kenshin? Either way, very pretty. I love how you color hair. It look so smooth and shiny, and realistic.

This is lovely work! I really love your technique with the color pencils. As for the hair [which is simply gorgeous by the way], either color could be Kenshin considering if you are going base on the manga/tv series or the ovas.

Wow, the first thing I thought when I saw this was "you're going to get a lot of people thinking this is Kenshin fanart"... yeah... but you know what?

lol! idk XD But the expression is very wistful and lovely at the same time. I think I prefer the smooth skin you can create on photoshop more than with prismas but I like all the different colors in her hair that you can use with prismas ^^

ahh yes.. thats one of the big differences with digital and traditional.. it's hard to get a smooth surface considering the texture of the paper but thats what makes it look like it's traditional.. actually, i wanted to smooth it out by putting some pressure but all of my energy was drained from that hair.. XD it became too dry.. oh no.. donate some moisturizer...! lol.. XD
it's unisex.. hahah.. XD but yeh.. it's originally a girl..

For me it's the oposite XD My scanner just KILLS all the color that is in my drawings. If I want detail I have to put it in digitally ... which I'm usually too lazy to do by that point XD

a lot have thought so too.. including me.. XD but i just cant get myself to see this as kenshin coz there's some femininity in here.. XD the eyes are different too and no scars.. i shouldnt have colored the hair as that.. lol.. made me confused too.. XD

Well, in the end of the series (in the manga) he almost have no scar... but then, his hair is short
I think that if you had drwn another clothing for him/her, it wouldn't look sooo much like Kenshin

i totally agree... coz this is suppose to be rukia thats why the cloth of a kimono/robe.. XD the colors made it worse.. lol.. because of that, this really looked like a kenshin attempt.. XD the hair could've been other colors too.. lol.. it was just my impulsiveness.. XD

i used to love working on colored pencils til i found photoshop which gives off a very similar effect when i color my shaded drawings.. it's frustrating coz that kind of coloring is less effort but it's much more appreciated.. XD probably coz of the mixed style.. nevertheless, im just getting back on my colored pencils before i lose my edge.. *pudpod* lol..

and mechanical pencil is more cheaper and easy to manage... and i feel envy again coz i don't know how to make like colored pencil on my pencil works using adobe....
