Description here you go.. this is mostly how i do the hair in my drawings.. *mechanical pencil 0.7* the same steps apply for colored pencils..

sorry for the snap picture.. as much as i want to scan it for better quality, it's just kinda troublesome u know.. *such laziness* XD

as for the whole image.. it's still on progress.. XD *procrastinating* but yeh.. pls look forward to it.. *^^*

awesome technique...
no wonder why i always failed at drawing long hair and sorts xD

btw u used 0.7 pencil, isn't that a bit too thick? (yes for me..)
I used to use 0.5 and used a bit pressure on it
so the dark part would be finished earlier, but it's a bit difficult to be repaired if i made a mistake
and sometimes it gets too thick

please give me some advice
oh, and about shading too, my hands r still to strong after all to do such a smooth technique

just like u said, pressure, i also adjust pressure while using .7 and i actually prefer it coz i can go light to darkest whenever i need it.. *^^*

most of the drawing techniques depend on pen pressure so just be cautious with that..

ooh..I'll try using 0.7
I've never change from using 0.5
Indeed it's a bit troublesome whenever I have to darkened some parts, sometimes my hand get too used with the dark, so everything become too dark
thank you for the helpfull reply

I think you did it because you were tired of being asked how to shade hair...?
*is one of the people who asked you this question, lol*

Thanks for sharing it with us! ^^

And oh... I'm looking forward to see this drawing complete The composition is really nice (from what I could see) ^^

Hmm... How long did it take you to shade that part of the drawing?

Whoooaa! so great what i've seen
we both do the same way putting paper to avoid pencil stains scattered ... and i really like the way you handle pencils so soft stokes.

I thought you are the one on Hotwave live cam hehe joke!

and yeah... to avoid smudging the shadings and also stains in your precious hands...

do you have fixatives to maintain the pencil works?

hehehe same like i do on my hard copy's,... i put them on clear book cost only 105 pesos and can hold 120 drawings... i got 12 clear books hehe

but many of them content my ugly artworks 12 years ago.
