Even at a glance your work looks amazing, but looking at in detail is just, like, Wow! = )
Do you know have to draw messy hairstyles though? I've been trying draw it on a couple of my OC's, even messed up my own, but it find it hard to draw matted styles that aren't dreadlocks. Most internet searches come up with general hairstyles, dreadlocks, and long-haired cat grooming

As for messy hair, I guess just try to add stray hairs, like when you got static electric. That should really do the trick if you have style like mine: Already detailed looking and it's hard to make it look messy.
As for the 'matte style', can you explain more on it? I can't seem to picture what you've written.
