Mourtairs' eyes almost don't shine - people do not have this much developed tapetum, and mourts do not develop it too. The glow can be got the same way as for humans - by using photography flash, night vision equipment and the like. They don't have better eyesight in the dark, and their tallness also doesn't imply night forays (which, however, does not affect one's personal tactical preferences). On the other hand, thanks to the unchanged photosensitivity, mourtairs feel great in the daytime, and in the dark, if needed, can rely on hearing. You won't see an eerie pair of glowy dots in the corner of your eye if there is a mourt watching you in the dark.
