She was a moonlight gypsy, her body slave to the night. Dancing, she was, the lines of her garments echoing the rhythm of the wind, the lines of her body reverberating the bellowing sensuality buried held in her heart.

So here's what I was really trying to do with that sketch in my last deviation. EEEVIL...an EEEEVIL gyspy. Mwhaha!!

This bitch was slaved away with watercolor, 12" x 11", I'd say I'd spent close to 10-15 hours just painting her, not including how long it took to do the sketch and trace it on. I'd spent a few hours every few nights with those damn watercolors...I hate watercolor!! But now I'm quite fond of it. It takes so much freakin' time. I'd guess about 4 or 5 layers of color, I tried to do the salt thing, but like that didn't quite work because I didn't actually put a lot of paint in my wash. Go figure, that's just me being a dumbass, what's new? So 3 layers of watercolor, and 2 layers with gouche, black, and then white highlights. And the skin was gouche...>_< I'm a cheater!! There is plenty I don't like, like her face, it looks more gypsied in my sketch, bleh. Got lazy toward the end, which accounts for the sloppy jewelry and shitty hands. And that's supposed to be a village!! Heh. S'all good. References: pics of hot belly dancers, they are so sexy.
