Description Tales of the Red Herring: The PiRat

PiRats are virtual constructs, used by hackers to steal data.

This is usually achieved by releasing millions of PiRats into a company's DataStream, each stealing little random snippets. Assembling the stolen data at a later stage is a bit of an art.

What you see here is the most common visualisation of a PiRat mostly used by popular media to illustrate the concept.

It's just the visualisation of the hacker's concept^^. The "real" PiRat is just bits and bytes in the DataStream.

(Though there was a line of PiRat plush toys, and those will very probably feature in a future TotRH story )

Haha, yeah, been some time, eh?

At that rate you can expect a finished story in early June, 2316.

(But seriously, I'll post more ideas and concepts from TotRH on a regular basis, I hope^^.)

So am I

And... "beavering" sort of implies hard and continuing work. It's not really like that^^. But yeah, I'm trying to focus a bit more instead of just daydreaming

For some reason deviant art has something against you. It doesn't send me your stuff to my inbox. Curse it to heck!

Oh! I had something similar happen as well with two people I was watching... removing watch and re-watching solved it though, if I remember correctly (was some time ago)

There's quite a few (annoying) bugs on dA
