The Sheridan patiently waits in deep space, temporarily acting as a moving listening post along the Klingon/Federation/Tholian border.I've updated my materials and the way they react to light. This image is intended to show that, and it's based on a classic looking shot from TOS-R. Hope you like it.

You did a fantastic job replicating the lighting of TOS-R here. I also love what youve done with the VF. She's a very elegant precursor to the Connie, and I wish she got some more love.
I've been toying with an idea that the Constellation may have started life as a VF and gone through a significant refurbishing before we saw her in DDM.

I also think that the VF gets less love than it deserves, it's one of my favourite designs from Masao.
That's a nice little theory you've got there. I remember when they started working on TOS-R, someone said (I believe it was Mr. Okuda) that they played with the idea of making the Constellation belong to another, older class. The registry number would be too low even for a VF, but it would be more plausible than a Connie.
