I've had these sitting around for easily over 5 years now, and finally repainted them. I don't actually play Warhammer, but I love painting miniatures, and the 40k figures are really fun to work on.But yeah, ponies! And space marines! The cutest heresy ever!

In all seriousness, the color choice accurate, and the scheme itself is pretty good, but the paint looks like it's caked on. You want it to be a bit more form fitting to the model.

Nice work, especially like the bike. May I ask what colour you used for the Twilight marine? Tamiya? Citadel colour with a varnish on top?

I'm working on it as we speak. I have my space marines, but now i need to decide if i want them to be painted as Rainbow Dash or Princess Luna.

Unfortunately, these are the only 6 figures I have from 40k, or I'd have tried to make some more appropriate choices.
And the paint probably is a bit thick in places; I tried out some Testors for Twilight and Rarity, and ended up not liking it very much. But at that point, I didn't really want to strip all the paint off again, so I just left it and worked around it where I could. The rest of the paint is Americana acrylic. Terrible choice, I know, but my joy of painting miniatures doesn't extend to paying incredibly high prices for the Citadel paints (though I did get to use them at one point and OH MAN if I had enough money to get a decent palette of them I totally would).

Aah, I see. I play 40k with Space Marines myself, so I have plenty of them.
But yeah, that explains the paint too. I definetly prefer the Citadel paints, even though they are expensive xD
I'm not a terribly good painter myself though; I prefer the gaming aspects of the game. I think you have done a better job on these than I could do on my own xD
