ON ANOTHER NOTE
Even though I try my hardest to let relationships take their natural course, I can't help but ADORE CheesePie, they have amazing chemistry and their story together was adorable and fun! "Pinkie Pride" might be my favorite My Little Pony episode! (It's tied with "Sisterhooves Social".)

2. Yes?? These are facts I know. But this specific party is FOR RainbowDash because it's her Birthiversary, and he does say in the end that he wanted to impress Pinkie Pie. So he was throwing this party for RD, but also to impress Pinkie. A single thing can have two goals.
3. We don't specifically know this. He experiences his cheesy sense and then just says "our next party is gonna be in ponyville," which is where he remembers first seeing Pinkie Pie. It's not unreasonable to suspect that he thought she would be there considering that's where he met her last or that his cheesy sense specifically told him she'd be there. It could have and it could not have, we don't know much about cheesy sense, but the reason it's not explicitly stated is because we're not supposed to know the twist about him knowing Pinkie Pie yet. But the point is once he was there, he was there to impress Pinkie Pie and he explicitly states this at the end.
Whether he went there to impress her or not, the important thing is that that was his goal in the end: To impress Pinkie Pie. And that's hella cute.
