But, how did you made the magical thing that the icon in thumbnail view differs on the icon on list view or detail view? Please tell me, I'll wait for your answer.

you mean that I have different images for different sizes?

An icon can contain many images (for different sizes from 16x16 to 256x256px; and for different color depths from 8 bit to 32 bit for example).

So basically I make separate images for 16x16, 32x32, 48x48, 256x256 (for each icon), and combined them to one. An icon must be readable in all sizes, this is why I (and everyone else) do that.

If you were wondering about the program that I use, then check out icon sushi [link]
It's free, fast and portable. All you have to do is drag the different images for the same icon to the application -> select all -> right click -> save -> save as multiple icon.

aww thanks... well i thought "Audio format icons" is clear enough...

but yeah, most people are used to "audio icons" or "file icons" ...

and yeah... it took me some time and care to make those icons...

especially the 16 x 16 icons which I polished with care
