Woah is this like a norm for deviantart to have people posting ads in the comment section? Especially most of them looks like generic shady ads.

Cool character! I love the mask, or is it a part or attached to this character? The faded background is a nice touch and the color choices are just perfect too. Nice work!

I love that mask so much! <3
But something looks a little bit off in here and I think it's the neck. But maybe it just looks like that because it's a headshot so I can't see the full body.
But otherwise it looks absolutely marvellous and I'm so in love with the colours <3 I will definitely commission you one day with one of my boys!
also I'm sorry if critique is not desired, I just want to help a little ;u;

Thanks!! and ayy no worries, I was aware I had some issues with the general posing,, I'm still so used to canine heads that it felt a bit off the whole way through. My sense of what is actually right and what is wrong when it comes to humans needs some adapting time (plus I do tend to confuse myself while rendering necks nowadays, I used to stylize the tendons to the point where it looks like there's a sharp crease along the side-tendons, but upon nearer observation I realized the difference in shapes is way subtler -- thus I'm in the process of relearning how to paint necks :'> )
I should've probably taken into account that I might be a bit wonky there, and just painted out the shoulders too off-canvas just to make sure,, but I'll keep that in mind for next time!

I've been drawing since I was a kid, but I have early artwork from back in 2008 youtu.be/U0aVIFVlvDY (<- some art from 2008 to 2016)
In the equivalent of high school we have 3 last years we can specialize in an area, I naturally took art, but that was basically a bit of Graphic design, some observational drawing/painting, art history, technical drawing (shapes and projections) and crafts. I already had built up a lot of fundamentals on my own before then, and since their mindset was "learning by doing" I wasnt gaining that much more than I did on my own. But that was at age 17-19 roughly, right now I just passed my first semester studying animation and I'm basically just soaking up any and every piece of info, advice and feedback I get :'> I've come to really learn how valuable it is to have regular access to constructive criticism.

Ayy everyone has their own learning path, and like,, the early years I had many times where it's been months of barely any drawing at all,,Β it's only in the recent 2 years that I really started to focus, and tried to draw as regularly as possible. Before that, I just didn't have the discipline necessary, nor the drive for it. If you aren't there yet either, then there's no need for pressuring yourself, you just gotta trust that as long as you're taking steps, that those steps are moving you forwards,,no matter the pace or the direction.
And I'll be away for the evening soon, but I'll take a look as soon as I get back :> I've been recently feeling a bit more comfortable with the idea of giving feedback, mostly because I've now had really great experience myself with being on the receiving end as mentioned. (before that, I'd be more hesitant since lots of what I've learned was really based on intuition)
