Promised to keep you updated one the whole entrance exam business for that french animation school(refer to: )
The first entrance exam (out of two) was a success!!
I'm amongst 90 other people who managed to get through, and will next month go to the interview/portfolio portion of the whole admission process!
(I also need to make a project pitch for an original animated short, so, oooohboy)
Once I've finalized a proper version of my portfolio I'll post that too - with the request for feedback/critique of course!
I might seem calm and composed, but my thoughts are actually doing the /shouting in the distance/ thing, seeing as I'm one step closer to possibly living in paris for the next 4 years

No worries, if you're entirely new to it I can also recommend FireAlpaca (it's a bit less complicated)
and here's a neat video showing how to do it in FA (which is also free)

If you check the video I linked, they mention at the end that you simply have to uncheck a box to not have the watermark added ;>
Or you could use a website like: gifmaker.org/ to turn your PNG's into gifs, which I usually did when I used FA. The website has an easier layout, and lets you edit the gif in multiple ways still

I wish I had the time to practice my 2D animation more. But since I've started the 3D classes at Full Sail I've been pretty much been doing that all the time.

The program is called Krita, it's a free drawing software that has a neat animation feature as well (gotta search for it a bit though)

Ohhhh congrats!! I'm still so amazed at how quickly you're advancing in animation and I really hope you get accepted!
For this animation my only advice is that it could use a little more squash and stretch. It would make the movement where he throws his head down more fluid.
But honestly that's something my teachers always need to remind me of almost every damn time. ^^'

Yeah I constantly forget that squash&stretch is a thing :'> it feels like I have yet to really absorb the fact that it's such a simple technique that adds so much more energy to a movement?
