well the movie is just one version of how people can imagine then.
I remember "interview with the vampire" and "the queen of the doomed". in the first one, Lestat, one of the main characters was blonde, and in the second he was -natural born- dark haired... and in the novels he was blonde... I always imagined him as dark haired though
