very good, but Russian mermaid does not have tail - she looks more like ordinary girl with long light brown hair (In Russian the words "Light Brown" (rusyj) and "Mermaid" (rusalka) - cognate) and dressed in white (but there are naked mermaids). They are water, forest and field spirits at once, and they often are in the trees (mostly on birches)... Russian mermaid - the souls of the dead women and young children... this is the evil spirits - they like to kill guys...
Pushkin has one piece about these mermaids..
Why in the prologue of "Ruslan and Ludmila" was Russian mermaid? because in the prologue describes Lukomorye - a place on the island Buyan in Russian mythology х)

yeah...
I know that, I was brought up on all of those fairy tales, since I am russian..
this is just my own interpretation,
I don't have to cohere to pushkin's exact visualisations
same as I did with leshiy..

It must have taken eternity to draw... I'm impressed by your patience, the final effect is just... I can't even find words to describe my feelings.
