You guys thought you were rid of me?! NEVERRR!But I HAVE been derelict in my duties, no question about it! Aside from my own personal pursuits, things are owed. And few can claim to be as true and loyal a friend to the Remnant empire than . You are an extremely supportive and insightful person, Ka-Rei, always giving me something to think about with your brilliant commentary. I can't thank you enough!
But for now... how about some art? XD
This is a piece penned (or penciled!) by Ka-Rei, and colored by yours truly! For those of you who have forgotten by now, it's Liviana Hildred! Primean escort extraordinaire! N-no, not that kind of escort, you perv-os... >__>
I really like Ka-Rei's work here and wanted to keep it as true to the original work as possible. I only tightened some lines here and there, while trying to keep as much of the style of his pencil work as I could. I love seeing my characters in different looks and styles, and Ka-Rei must know me better than I think!

It was a pleasure to draw the fan-art for you, my friend. I am happy you liked it so much.
I love the shading and the highlights you drew. It makes the metal parts look really shiny. And the crystal on the sword guard looks so fragile. It's interesting how it all looks together with the rough lines of pencil. Somehow the area of belt and skirt reminds me of watercolors as a result.
I am deeply flattered by this.
I should now hurry to finish my colored pencils version too, so we can see both styles - the digital as well as the traditional ^^

Ah, I'm so glad you like it, Ka-Rei! I can't apologize enough for taking so long to get it done, and hope the delay doesn't sour the reveal any.
As always, your comment got me thinking (or, in this case, confirmed my own premise! XD ) that the gem in the Primean armors and weapons look a bit fragile. I like that! They are meant to be this sort of lofty, elegant, fanciful type of force and the idea of vulnerable little things, like gold foil and gemstones speak to me in that respect. To know you got that impression really made me feel like "I got it" haha XD
And your mention of watercolors was exactly what I was thinking but didnt have the mind to express it! This is why I make comics and not novels I suppose hahah XD I really liked how the pencil work kind of became a little 'blobby', for lack of a better word, and tried to preserve it wherever I could. It gave it a really nice, vaguely Renaissance effect, which is really fitting for something like The Remnant. : 3
