; D I didn't do much of a good job capturing her look, so I get it. And I love Tank Girl (well, I love the art, truth be told I never read a comic but please keep that between us! >__>) so who knows, maybe I was subconsciously channeling her as a belly-scratching malcontent. XD

Alora Pops are a snack, like... popped cord or wafers or something, I think! I mean, it's the future, they can be anything, right? Everything would be pulped, minced, freeze dried and reconstituted, right? That's the dream they had in the 60s, anyway. X 3
And cerise girl is Zarana, from GI Joe. : D She's a Dreadnok - a baddie, naturally... no decent gal goes around sporting such outrageous hair, who would hire her?? v___v

Oh well. The best (and meanest) thing R. Fiore wrote in the old Comics Journal was referring to the character of Hopey (from LOVE AND ROCKETS, as drawn by Jaime Hernandez) and her appeal to the reader by describing her as "the punk rock girlfriend you never had." Which is both a comment on the slightly unreal quality of the character (not a bad thing) and the all-too-real quality of the hypothetical reader's life,
It is that fateful year 198x and I am at a 24SPYS show - in a suit I bought at Goodwill. what was I thinking - in then scary Tacoma with the best girl in the world, who was wearing her Misfits leather jacket... Sigh.
Senya is, of course, obviously more of a raver chick, which isn't inconsistent with her combativeness, although she seems to avoid using what the best girl in the world once claimed was the preferred raver weapon - the cueball in the end of a knotted sock. OW. (Also raver chix are noted for stabbyness, which makes me think Mantis really really likes the Orb.)
After all that irrelevant rubbish, did I mention how great your sketches are? I do not know what dispute Mr. Carr, for example, is trying to resolve with his "piece of shit Jabroni manager" but he is hilarious and I am on his side.

Haha! I should inform you that 'Mr. Carr' is actually based on my friend and his trials at work, balancing his duties and his love of pro-wrestling. XD I should also inform you that I showed him your comment and he got a real laugh about it (and was also stunned that people look at my drawings, so... it was kind of a backhanded compliment, I guess heheh)
