It was just before Christmas. Remy had gone into town to look at the Christmas tree set up in the square. It was big and nicely decorated. He admired it. There was another fox standing right beside him. Remy didn't notice. "Yeah,"the fox said. "That is a pretty hot-looking toothpick, don't you think?"

Remy turned to him and looked at him funny. "Toothpick?"

"I mean," said the fox, "that it is well trimmed and set up nicely, don't you think?"

It took Remy a moment to realize just who he was standing next to. He couldn't believe it. It was Nick Wilde of the Zootopia Police!

Remy could not contain his excitement. He introduced himself and they shook hands. "I heard about how you and Officer Hopps foiled that plot to turn predators savage with those night howlers," he said ecstatically. "It was the mayor that was behind it right?"
"That's right," said Nick. "Mayor Belleweather is still in the slammer. And just so you know, Carrots and I are still together. We actually decided to come up to the country for the holidays."

After their little talk, Remy thanked him and shook hands again. Nick smiled. "It was nice meeting you, kid."

After Remy ran off, Nick said to himself, "It's nice to have a fan."
