Fall, my favourite season of all. Not because everything is dying but because of the weather, it controls my happiness :3 If it's nice and cool, I'm happy. If it's humid and perfect weather for the beach, I'm a miserable Foxx. I hate the heat unless I'm in paradie (aka Key West). As it seems, Red's enjoying the weather as well :3This picture was one of the most involved and longest I've done in a long time. Somewhere between 8-10 hours on this. It was originally going to be colored but thought maybe shading would be better for the theme of things :3 Not inked this time since I didn't want to ruin anything. All done in Mechanical Pencil so Whee :3 Used a tool most of us take for granted to try and smooth out the pencil lines, mah thumb XD smudged literally everything. I hate drawing trees and bushes x.x And had a lot of trouble trying to figure out what to do with the sky area so it wasn't just white. Decided to smudge some lead there to give the impression of a overcast sky, hope it worked n.n;

Thanks for the comments on my story. I'm trying to do more writing, so I can post more often and get more work done than I used to do. The trick is finding time for it all. And, if you want to be in one of my stories, I can arrange that; I just need to know what you have in mind. Keep in mind that I have a long list of stories, and might not need your character unless I can think of a cool and practical way to insert him (hehe, foxyfluffs are everything).

I love this picture. The background has an almost charcoal look to it and gives the feeling of calm coolness. I also ike the expression on his face, like a deep thinker.

I like this, but you know what? I think it is time you try charcoal. I know, it's frightening, but it's awesome. Just, don't forget to spray it when you're done, or else it will smudge! Red looks quite dashing with his scarf and that laid back expression by the way.

Eh? I think I'll stick with what's working for me n.n I know amazing artists that do great simply with pencils. And if I master the Mech Pencil that'd be great :3 It's not that hard really once you learn how to exploit it X3

oh indeed. Now they are trying to get me to use ink... real ink, out of an ink bottle that you use a pen or a brush with, in order to draw and shade! I will not. I have spent the better part of the semester refusing point blank to do it

The expression and body position and the shading combine to make an impressive interpetation of fall, I can practically /feel/ the cool breeze and hear the sounds of rustling leaves and foilage... It /is/ a cool season and you did a wonder of a job here...especially that expression...and the snout...and tail...
I'll just say it rocks overall and settle it there.

Thanks much for the great comment ^__^ Glad I achieved the feeling I was going for. I forgot to do a shadow underneath him but now that I think about it it's a good thing cuz that would imply a bright sun above him, and with it being cloudy it wouldn't match :3

No prob and aye, no shadow makes sense. Around here, the sun disappears in mid October and doesn't return until April or May (dirty ivory clouds...)
