I can't believe I never noticed this. I always wondered why the worlds in SS were positioned in the way they were...

The big issue with this map is that the Sealed Grounds are way too far south.Β  The Sealed Grounds need to be right on top of OoT's Hyrule Castle Town.Β  That is indisputable.Β  Sealed Temple = OoT's Temple of Time = Twilight Princess' Sacred Grove/Temple of Time.Β

Once you do that, you start to realise that most of Skyward Sword's geography is probably farther north than Ocarina of Time's, and you start to line up things like the Dead Tree at the SS Desert Gorge with the Dead Tree in the TP Lake Hylia (which is a separate lake from Lake Floria and from OoT Lake Hylia), because it is NORTH of the Temple of Time.Β

EVERYTHING hinges upon the Temple of Time.Β  The Master Sword Pedestal does not move.Β  All of Hyrule has to be fitted around that one indisputable fact expounded by the Hyrule Historia.

You're right. Many people think the Lost Woods is Faron Woods, but the Temple of Time is located in Faron Woods (except for Ocarina of Time). If you look at the map from Ocarina of Time, you can see that there's a forest north of Hyrule Castle. Maybe Faron Woods, but justΒ a part of it has been cut down to build the castle and castle town etc?

I like this. Mapping fictional lands – especially Hyrule – is one of my favourite hobbies. You did a great job with this; I can see the land having multiple lakes (and why not, there doesn't have to be just one), the forest fits snug in the forest, mountain with mountain, and desert with desert. I think I might try my hand at an illustrated approach to this.

How about Lake Floria turning into Zora's Domain?

That is an idea. and really, Zora's domain and Goron city could be anywhere, because there is a secondary entrance in the lost woods.

Everything looks good except for Lake Floria and Lake Hylia. You're saying that there's the possibility of Hyrule having 2 lakes?

Canada has three million, I don't see why Hyrule can't have two.
