Description
'Lily' Flower Faerie #1. Polymer clay over a wire armature. Painted in Genesis heat set paints. She has viscose hair and is 10" tall if she were standing up straight. Your detail work is amazing, especially at this scale. Hands and feet are beautiful. Love her eyes! I really like all your tiny details, like the drips (tears?) around her face and down her arms and feet. Great muscle work around her shoulders.
For the overall sculpt, I like her imbalance, as if she is falling or springing backwards.
Wings are tricky. I might think it would be more realistic if the base of the wings was more aligned with the shoulder blades (spread a little more than coming directly out of the center), as if they had a more solid support, but that is PURELY my opinion! The wings themselves are beautiful!
Love her little tiny toes and fingernails. Those are details that often get overlooked (speaking as a sculptor myself :-P), but you've done them beautifully. Same with her face, and the turn of her mouth, with all the subtle colors in her lips. You do teeth really well!

I hope she finds someone who will totally fall in love with her and buy her for a worthy price on ebay!
(Some day you'll have to tell me how you do hair. I've experimented with polymer clay, but have never known how to do the hair.)
