I didn't even need to send anyone from my team to Hawaii to study and assess the volcano damage. We've been watching it all live on Youtube. I'm going to get a huge bonus this year by saving on the travel budget!

I don't know -- I think there's a lot to be said for firsthand onsite inspections in Hawaii (though maybe not in a lava path).
I ALMOST got to go for a case several years ago. A woman sued a hotel because she paid to spend an hour playing with the hotel's dolphins in a pool. The dolphins (who were apparently good judges of character) wanted no part of her though lol There was a disclaimer about not being responsible for the behavior of the dolphins, but she still sued. I pushed hard that I had to meet these dolphins in person -- to assess their credibility of course -- but the adjuster on the file nixed my travel plans and just refunded the money the woman paid to go in the dolphin pool. Spoilsport!
